Chen Yufeng, also named Chen Yifeng, male, born in 1943 in Hui’an, Fujian.

He is Director of Chinese Artists Association, President of Fujian Artists Association and National Class A Artist and an expert who is granted special subsidy by State Council. He is also an art advisor of Xiamen Zhang Xiong Academy of Painting and Calligraphy.  

He graduated from Fujian College of Art in 1964 and stayed in the College for teaching after graduation. He was recruited as Art Designer in Fujian Song and Dance Theater in 1972. In 1978, he was transferred to Art Exhibition Office of Department of Culture of Fujian province. In 1980, he was recruited as Art Editor of Fujian Art. In 1981 he joined Chinese Artists Association. In 1984 he was appointed to be Secretary-General of Fujian Artists Association. In 1992, he was elected as Executive Vice-President and Secretary-General of Fujian Artists Association. In 1995, he was rated as National Class A Artist. In 1998, he was elected as Director of Chinese Artists Association. In 1999, he was elected as President of Fujian Artists Association. He mainly engages in traditional Chinese painting, watercolor and gouache creation. Meanwhile, he also studies oil painting, prints, lacquer painting, posters, comics and illustrations. He focuses on landscape and figure painting, especially traditional Chinese mountain and river painting.

His works are often published in national and provincial newspapers and journals and exhibited in domestic and abroad. In 1979, his gouache Flower won award in Fujian and collected in China Art Museum when National Art Exhibition was over. His works have been selected for CAA-hosted national exhibitions for 17 times. He has also held solo exhibitions for four times at home and abroad. His artwork used to be collected by China Art Museum, Chinese exhibition companies, Cultural Center of the Philippines, Governor-General of Macao Vasco Vieira and Chief Executive of Hong Kong Tung Chee Hwa.

He also used to be invited to the U.S., Canada, Peru, Singapore, Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong and Macao to hold exhibitions.

Publications include individual album Yifeng Artwork Collection and Chen Yufeng Artwork Collection.

He advocates to study traditional techniques of Chinese painting which can be sourced back to Song and Yuan dynasties, base on nature and absorb the advantages of all categories of painting, integrating modern thinking.
